Success!!! now...Saturday...

Last night I successfully broke in my new frydaddy...I made beer batter shrimp, fried zucchini in same beer batter, and french fries...Mom and Dad loved it...tho, I did make a couple rookie mistakes...one of which was I think I used a tad too much oil...it took longer than i thought to get done...I'll have to readjust next time..and i think i went overboard a bit on the breading batter...I couldve used a bit less bater on the shrimp..maybe it was just too thick, i dunno...oh well, live and learn I guess =) well, on to saturday, hopefully I can get all the laundry etc done today, so I can go on a bike ride tomorrow...or maybe just walk to the post office, havent done either in a while...actually, I have to repair the brake cable on my bike..so maybe a walk is in order...and a ride next week..who knows...we'll see =) until next time =)

Friday at last...

wow! its ben an interestingly long week..for some reason, I got back in touch with an old buddy from Morgantown WV, Its reat to be talktin to him again after all these years, we got boat loads of rain all week, I thought surely I would have to build an ark...my garden is loving it tho, Ive got zucchini and yellow squash coming out of my ears /: abnd soon to have jalapenos, new mexico chilisand tomatoes...we needed the moisture tho...I finally broke down and bought a frydaddy last week, I'm looking forward to frying some zucchini this weekend..I need to get bread crumbs and oil on the way home...I also have a big bag of shrimp thats are just screaming to be breaded and deep fried...until next time...

Well Well, another blast from the past...

Ive been contacted my another old friend from Morgantown recently, havent heard anyhting for over 20 years, nice to see he is doing ok...I havent really thought about Morgantown much over the years, but now Ive got allkinds of memories coming back...like when this friend and I would try to go for a "mega midnight run" and I always got caught by my parents...bummer...we were trying to go to dominoes over by MHS high school...I dont remember if I was ever able to escape...oh well, to be young again..dominoes is about 42 miles from here..sucks..but I make the trip occasionally... I also remember always trading..er..pirating commodore 64 software, and eventually amiga software...good old days...I hope he and I can stay in touch now... until next time...

Just another freakin day...

Monday is gone, and if Wednesday gets here, I'll deal with it, but until then, theres Tuesday, and I have no idea what Tuesday has in store for me...I'm at work once agin, as usual, hence the title of this post... ive got all kinds of zucchini and yellow squash to harvest tonight, my New Mexico chilis are finally coming in, as well as my jalapenos and tomatos...I bought a frydaddy yesterday from Amazon.com, best price I could find anywhere...hopefully I'll be able to make use of all the veggies I'll have, zucchini fry anyone? and I'll be able to make hash browns, and french fries the right way, instead of mushy oven baked, It'll be used quite a bit...and I'm sure moms going to be thrilled, sarcastically speaking, she hates it when I spend money, but it was like 17.99 and free shipping, well, free shipping for 25.00 or more, so I bought a skimming spider to go with it, and that'll get used quite a bit and not just for the frier...folks will be pissed, but they'll get over it... My dog Orla, or the actual gaelic spelling...Orfhlaith, went to the vet for the first time, seems she is having problems with her female parts, so she is scheduled to be spayed, or hysterectomy in human terms in early August...I was hoping to breed her at some point, but shes too old now..so..its in her best interest...she got all her shots etc..and shes doing ok otherwise...now Ive got to get Sombra into the vet..shes elderly, but she still needs her shots, and she has lumps all over, I dont really want to know what they are, because shes way to old for any kind of aggressive treatment, but I try to keep her as healthy as I can, she take a daily regimen of aspirin and joint therapy pills to keep her going...so far so good... btw... orla is gaelic for golden lady, shes a golden retreiver, and sombra is spanish for shadow..shes a black lab....just in case you were wondering =) until next time...

Its Sunday.... :/

Well, Ive had a quiet Sunday for a change, finished me laundry yesterday and took a ME day today, I got alot of computer work done for a change...unfortunatley, its very ho and humid and without AC its miserable, thankfully its raining right now and cooling down a bit...We had zucchine and yellow squash from my garden last night, it was great, all my veggies ar finally coming in...mom and ad spent the day sorting and organinzing picrtures and frames....lovely... until next time..

Thats right, today is Friday, and once again its been like 5 or six days since Ive done a post..and once again I apologize....this is a once again post as you can tell...not alot to report, got alot of rain lately, my garden is loving it, making some progress on starting my new business, gathering information on getting bonded and insured, I possibly have a logo already...need to get business cards etc...build webpage etc...the more I do the more that neds to be done..sheesh...oh well... until next time...

Sunday...

Well, Its sunday again, and as usual, I'm doing chores, finishing laundry adn washing dogs as usual...I wish I had a free sunday for once, I'm thinking about starting laundry on friday evening and washing the dogs saturday afternoon so I can have free sunday...I'll have to try that out and see how it goes...maybe next weekend i'll do an experiment... until next time...
