Gloomy Sunday.......

No, I am not referring to the Hungarian suicide song.....it is actually very gloomy today..for several reasons.....the main reason is its been raining for about 3 days now..and not going to quite until Monday or Tuesday...fortunately, i like it gloomy....rainy drizzly days are my favorite kind of days......another reason its gloomy is, ive been having health problems the last couple weeks..I didn't know what it was, but i figured it was either my blood pressure, or my blood sugars.....so I'm going to bite the bullet and go see a doctor tomorrow....probably blow every penny i have left from my paycheck..but i guess its necessary....i was checking my blood pressure the last few days with my home meter, and it read a few times at around 155 over 100! wow! i was feeling weird headed and dizzy and just generally not feeling good for the last few weeks, and i couldn't remember if i still had my home cuff..but i eventually found it....and it looks like i have high blood pressure..usual reading is around 195 over 90 ish...so hopefully I'll get a prescription tomorrow..I've been making many life changes...changing eating habits etc..hard to get any exercise when its been mostly sub zero and snow covered most of the winter, and i cant afford to join the gym..so I'll have to do jumping jacks or something..hah! last time i went to our local med center, the dumb broad that was there at the time.. refused to give me a prescription.....and my blood pressure was about the same at that time.....she said "don't drink don't smoke eat right and exercise....that will be 97 dollars please!" needless to say..i refused to pay seeing as she only gave me about 3 minutes of her time....she kept running in and out of the room to talk on the phone, and talk to friends who kept wandering into the place.....now there's a different doctor there now and he better not screw me or its the last time i ever go to that place......oh well..we'll see what happens tomorrow.....i feel good today for a change..no annoying mild headache..no dizziness or weird headedness....so we'll see what happens........my blood sugars are a bit elevated as well..don't know if my blood pressure has anything to do about it..but i can only afford so much at a time...other than that..mom is in mega nag mode so i need to conclude this blog for today...until next time....

An interesting weekend so far.....I've said it before, but gave things another chance..now, its for good....needed to be.....I've let go of a past situation......I tried to make a go of it.but it just wont work....I tried to bring a bit of normalcy to a friends life....but his bitterness and jadedness overwhelmed it...so its over...for good...he can have his lonely, impoverished bitterness he clings so hard to.....he is beyond help...sad...but that's life..you can only do so much......on a lighter note..I have tomorrow off...mlk day as it happens.....what a nice surprise!  My employer decided to be open Saturdays and closed only on Sundays...she will be there alone on Mondays so we'll only be closed one day a week....good thinking!  I don't really have plans tomorrow....just lay low......today however..i need to go to Ace Hardware, and the dollar stores...I want to browse at Ace, haven't been able to do so in a long time......its still a bit too cold to do anything outside..buts its getting nicer, slowly but surely......I'm still thinking about what to do with my Amiga and c64...maybe I'll build a custom desk and hutch for it..I don't know yet......I got a cool new laserdisc the other day..and yes, it happens to be new......it was still sealed in plastic from the factory! still had the original price tag on it to! 39.95!!!!! gees!!!!!! of course, that was from the late 90's sometime..it was lawnmower man unrated directors cut! not available on DVD or blue-ray yet, as far as i could tell...it covers two discs! can't wait to watch it....! I also got a new toy! of sorts! a 60 disc CD changer.....can't wait to play with that either..i even splurged a bit and got an ancient CD from 1984! Queensryche the warning......it has take hold of the flame on it..my favorite Queensryche song..or at least one of them......other than that..not a whole lot going on..oh..almost forgot....i decided to say "eh, what the fuck!" and bought a couple boxes of dot matrix, fan fold printer paper.....we had three boxes collecting dust at the store, and i found out that our cost sky rocketed on that stuff..so i bought it at the old, 5 or so years ago cost......I still have my star nx-1000 II multifont printer from my past Amiga days, and if i do set up my Amiga, I'll need a printer....and that paper is probably getting harder to find.....so i grabbed it..i may just get the other box next month..... its still in the truck, I've got to put it away today.....keep it on the shed for the time being...speaking of which.....i think its time for another mass cleaning and reorganization party! probably tons of shit i can throw out......it seems, the more time goes by, the more irrelevant a lot of my crap becomes......springtime project perhaps...........until next time.....

OUT WITH THE OLD...HELLO 2013!

well well, we managed to get through 2012....mayan non-apocalypse and everything! looking forward to 2013? perhaps......we shall see what transpires......its possible..i might get a wii-u this year..maybe..depends on what i learn about the new zelda..and possible new mario game....more than likely, i will end up owning a ps3 this year.....i'm pretty sure the new zelda wont be out until late 2014......so a ps3 may be first......assuming sony gets their head out of their asses and lowers the prices.....if the ps4 comes out later this year that may just happen....ive noticed a few blogs go over what happened the previous year, i wont do that......nothing all that exciting..except the fact, last month, i got a new employer, and a raise of sorts! so that was the change i was feeling all year and before.....hmmm.......until next time...

end of the world, the hobbit, xmas shopping etc....chuck!

well, here we are, at the very end of 2012...and if hadn't noticed already, the world DID NOT end on the 21st..actually i had a very pleasant 21st, i was alone! i got up early early and watched the sunrise! and enjoyed a nice yule/winter solstice alone! as for my xmas shopping adventure...it really turned out to be an adventure of sorts..... i didn't realize i had bought a ticket for the hobbit at the theater in pinetop, rather than the theater in lakeside..so i got to drive another 15 or so miles to the other, bigger theater to see  the movie..and of course, i always leave my phone in the car when i go to the theater, so i was oblivious to the fact there was a major power outage in heber/overgaard.  Some freakin idiot shot the main transformer and the power was completely out form around 1 pm until around 11:30 pm that night....i had several calls and voicemails form mom and dad telling me to stop and kfc on the way home and grab a big bucket of chicken....goodie! and we ate by candle and flashlight light...it got pretty chilly in the house, around 56 degrees before the power was finally restored.....and interesting end to an already interesting day! as far as my phoenix trip..i did manage to talk dad into stopping at trader joes! we couldn't find in on the way there, but found it on the way back..i got a case of misc 3 buck chuck! and a jar of 21 spice salute, and a fresh bottle of balsamic vinegar....and i ended up with a vicious headache as we made our way up the mountain, i guess I'm not used to the heavier air pressure in the valley.  as for "change in the air" it finally happened...the place i work sold and i have a new employer..very nice lady, even a small raise of sorts! i was making less than minimum, not I'm making minimum! oh joy! all in all, an interesting December to remember!  I was planning on excessive amounts of fireworks on new years eve, but looks like the weather will not be cooperating....oh well, i didn't get a chance to re-stock my supply anyway......maybe over winter I'll get to go to the fireworks store! other than that......not a heck of  a whole lot else going on......just finished my coffee and got the laundry going....have to venture out and try and find champagne... good luck! heh.......until next time......

its snowing! the end of the world and Christmas!

Greetings all! Tis a cold and snowy night here in good ole, nowheresville..er..i mean...overgaard Az.....we got our first snow of the week on wednesday..and its still snowing saturday night! which kind of sucks because i am going Christmas shopping, and going to see The Hobbit tomorrow...hope the roads will be clear....the weather has great freakin timing once again...heh......so far so good at work, first full week with new owner...i even got a raise of sorts...i'm now a legal employee making actual minimum wage! yay! no more below minumum for me! hopefully.....we've had 2 straight days of no business...par for the course in the winter here, and when it snows, nobody really eants to go outdoors......new owner will hopefully not be too surprised when it happens again...and it will...... but so far so good....we will be closed saturdays for the rest fo the winter.....which means i get a 4 day weekend for christmas!!! <* does backflips back and forth across the room*>  ya right...heh......but it will be nice to not have to work christmas eve for a change.....i'll have saturday thru tuesday off!!! woo hoo!!! mom and I have yet to start our yearly baking and making frenzy..ive decided to make snickerdoodles this year.....or at least try to......never had one before so it aughta be interesting......lets see...what else..hmmm.......oh ya! next friday is the 21stof December 2012!!! the end of the world!!!! um..ya right...i dont personally believe that, but mom is extremely paranoid of the fact and she is preparing and annoying everyone over it......I cant wait for 12:01 am december 22.....so i can say to her..told ya so!!!!! heh......I am going to extremely party on new years eve this year to cvelebrate the world not ending onthe 21st......things are definately get worse..but no collosal destruction in my lifetime......i really wanted to re-stock my fireworks supply, but never got the chance to get to snowflake......and i think they are closed tomorrow....bummer...i still have quite a bit left..so i'll make due i guess...heh......other than that.......i had a massive monstrous headache all day today and thankfully we closed up early today so i could come home and collapse......which i did......feeling a bit better now......I'm working on laundry tonight because i wont be home at all tomorrow..at least not until 6 or so pm......next weekend, I'm going to go down to Phoenix to visit my aunts before christmas......at least that the plan...i would very much like to go to trader joes and get some 3 buck chuck! we'll see if i can talk my dad into stopping..heh......thats about it for now......until next time....

Thought I would quote David bowie today....because changes is what this blog entry is all about......the business, where I work, has been sold......and the new owner seems nice......unfortunately, there has been some........misinformation.......about me passed on......so it makes me contemplate, very seriously, whether i want to remain working there or not......also, my soon-to-be EX-employer has made some very erroneous assumptions about me that I cannot, will not accept...... so my decision may already be made......time will tell....the incoming owner is already making some big changes to the place, so things will be getting very interesting in the near future........I decided, last night, after watching the very.....um.......alright John Carter movie...pretty ok effects..but i dont recall them explaining why he could jump so well....i would have to guess the gravity onthe planet he ended up on is alot less strong than earth......they really didnt mention it was only a copy of himself sent to the other planet, his other self was...well...i wont ruin it in case you havent seen it..but i understand why it was such a flop......, to pull a semi all-nighter, and play, and ultimately complete, super mario 2 on the original, my original NES......i havent played in many years, but i still got through it......I wasnt in a good mood last night and wanted to get my mind off things, so i regressed to the early 90's remembering how hard it was to find a copy of mario 2 anywhere!!!!!!  It was crazy! oh, and if you had'nt noticed, I managed to do 2 blogs in one months...thats a record for me i think......Today, laundry and relaxing, because I dont have a day off until Thursday, Thanksgiving day.....and fro some odd reason, I have to work on black friday! I'm hoping some day to have black friday off so I can stand in the Walmart parking lot and midnight in the cold, trying to get my hands on a super cheap electronic nick-nack or another.....or maybe not!!!   until next time.....

election fiasco, first snowfall....wwaaayyy to long between blogs

Greetings everyone! ya I know, its been since October since I have posted..my humblest apologies...i've said it before and i'll say it again, i'll try to do better..honest i will...anywho..onward and upward, we got our first snow of the season last night, folowing a very loud wind and rain storm.....so its freakin cold right now!  I bought a new yarrs revenge seeing as my original one partially died......so i'm a happy camper once again! ive got a couple mental lists of atari carts i want to get in the near future....they're pretty cheap on ebay so i can collect a few gems......also, i have a mental list of nintendo carts i want to collect, namely mega man series for the original NES, theyre not cheap nowadays, but shockingily enough, ive never played mega man! so i am going to save my pennies and start collecting them......I managed to get the raking done shortly before the wind started bloing pine needles down again...grumble....sometimes wonder why i bother =) I know I've mentioned in the past, change was in the air...well, the "change" has finally revealed itself....i cant discuss it here just yet, but i'll put it this way...i read my horoscope a couple weeks ago, and the last line read "there will be changes at work" well, as amazing as it sounds, ive never considered the fact that horoscopes could be accurate, just fun to read...change is indeed happening at my work....i will reveal more about it in the coming weeks... to be honest with you, i don't feel too good about the coming change, as a matter of fact, i may be leaving this job come december.......i dont know what i'm gonna do for work, but ive got a few weeks to figure things out......like that old song says "should I stay or should I go now!!!"  lets see..what else is happening? I had an alright halloween..i did my usual tradition..to a degree..no dominoes pizza, but i did have my usual 3 bags of candy bars, buttersingers, mounds, and reeses peanut butter cups, and plenty of coke to weash it down with, and i watched the first three nightmare on elm street movies well into the wee hours of the morning......and had a lovely candy hangover in the morning! well worth it tho! at least once a year anyway!  I recently bought a couple transformers..i got bumblebee and thundercracker....they sure made them a pain to transform! but kind of cool none the less..it irks me that they decided to make bumblebee a camaro, he would have been a really cool new beetle....so much for tradition! heh...... i'm still not done with the wheel of time series yet.....ive got 4 qand 1/4 books to read before memory of light comesout in early January...i'm almost finished with winters heart..try to finish it tonight......ive got tons of other books to read so i'm looking forward to this series ending...on the other hand, i'll be sad to see it go.....oh well....such is life i guess......actually, theres another small change that has occured lately..i've started grinding my own coffee bens once again, and ive started getting up a little earlier so i can enjoy my coffee in the mornings before work, as well as my days off....ive found some real good blends and beans at rather fair prices...don francisco beans as an example...i'm drinking a hazelnut cinnamon blend right now thats out of this world..i cant wait to use it to make irish coffee this winter!!!!  speaking of booze....heh....ive managed, using good timing with sales and finding coupons, to get some really quality booze the last couple months, namely, bacardi select spiced rum, beefeater london dry gin, and a bottle of makers mark bourbon..good stuff all! i even managed to try some new brews as well....dundee sampler packs, shiner bock, brewed in shiner texas! and a few new sam adams brews! i have to enjoy the goo dlife when i can! ive even been enjoying some fine pipe tobacco and premium cigars...arturo fuente and cohibas, as far as cigars go.....and i picked up a coupe of very good gl pease pipe tobacco blends that i really like...latakia blends..i lllooovveeee latakia! other than that..thats about all thats going on....oh ya...the elections....cringe....shudder.....wretch.....  i finally saw proof of the depth of stupidity in this country......of course, it seems whites are becoming a minority in this country, so the precipitous drop in intelligence in this country is to be expected...so i have decided, i am going to look into leaving this country and renouncing my citizenship....may not happen right away...maybe a few years in the future..but i am out of this god forsaken dieing country..look on the bright side..i'll be able to smoke cuban cigars, and drink cuban rum, and be out of the reach of the fda if it chooses to regulate cigars and pipe tobaccos, and all tobaccos..hopefully it wont happen, but i'm not holding my breath....and seeing as the 2nd amendment may well be in trouble now that odipshit got re-elected, so it will be for the best......i may not find a country with as good of firearm laws as the us..but i can live with it......i'm not a huge gun nut by any means......but i like the idea of being able to defend myself if need be.......as previous;y mentioned, i will try to be better about regular blog postings in the future....you've heard it before, hopefully i can keep to my word thisd time ;P......until next time......
